Baratti & Milano Chocolate Panna Cotta Mix

$7.50

Baratti & Milano Chocolate Panna Cotta Mix is an easy prep mix. The great Piedmontese specialty dessert with an exclusive Baratti & Milano chocolate-flavored variation is smooth and rich with a custard like resemblance in consistency. Panna Cotta refers to a specific Italian cooked pudding.  It resembles other puddings with its soft and silky texture that comes from milk, cream or yogurt, but it differs from others in its ingredients and in how it is made.

Quantity:
Net weight: 80gr
Serves 6.

Ingredients:
Sugar, low-fat cocoa, food gelatin, potato starch, gelling agent: carregenin, stabilizer: xanthan gum, natural flavors (milk).

Gluten free.

Tips: For the best preparation: add 300ml of milk to 200ml of whipping cream to the contents of an envelope. Pour the milk and cream into a saucepan and bring to the boil. Gradually add the contents of the bag, mixing and eliminating any lumps.

Bring to a boil and boil, stirring constantly for 3 minutes over moderate heat. Pour into a single mold or into 6 single-serving molds. Panna Cotta can be removed after half an hour at room temperature and 4 hours in the refrigerator.

Storage:
Store in a cool dry place, without sun and odor. 60 to 78 degrees F.

Learning Italian:
Panna cotta (Italian for "cooked cream") is an Italian dessert of sweetened cream thickened with gelatin and molded.

The name panna cotta is not mentioned in Italian cookbooks before the 1960s, yet it is often cited as a traditional dessert of the northern Italian region of Piedmont.

Italian Translation:
Baratti e Milano Panna Cotta al Gusto Cioccolato

To be enjoyed:
This beauty of a dessert can definitely  stand on its own with its delicious flavor and consistency but for an extra little something try serving with crushed Baratti & Milano amaretto cookies on top or a smooth Disaronno amaretto liquor slightly chilled or a Grand Marnier for a pop of Orange flavor. Also try making a whipped cream and adding the liquor of your choice in the cream itself giving just a hint of something extra to the Panna Cotta. Top the cream with fresh berries and mint to really take it to the next level!
