Gianduiotti

Gianduia, or gianduja, was invented by Italy as a way to make chocolate, which was very expensive, more accessible by blending in with hazelnuts that grew locally. But, wow! From that very practical solution came one of the world's favorite flavor combinations. Chocolate and hazelnut blended into a smooth creamy spread, filling or solid chocolate is pure bliss! Baratti & Milano invented the now famous elongated prism shape wrapped in gold foil known as "Gianduiotti". Whether you know it as gianduja, gianduia, gianduiotto, or giaduiotti (plural), in whatever package you choose you're sure to make someone smile... maybe yourself!
