This perfect Gianduiotto melts in your mouth and leaves a persistent finish well after it's gone. Pure happiness in chocolate form. Famous wine writer Ian D'Agata has said, "Baratti e Milano is the 'Grand Cru' of Gianduiotti".

The classic cremino is a classic for a reason. It's a perfectly balanced bite of chocolate. Poured in layers, each chilling slightly before the next is poured, the cremino is a little cube of milk chocolate hazelnut joy. The cremino classico is three layers: chocolate, hazelnut, chocolate.

Learning a little Baratti & Milano History:
The famous Caffè Baratti & Milano owes its name to the Baratti & Milano confectioners Ferdinando Baratti and Edoardo Milano. Moving to the Savoy city in 1858, they opened a confectionery and pastry shop in via Dora Grossa 43, now via Garlibaldi , destined to become one of the most renowned brands in the Piedmontese and Italian confectionery industry. Caffè Baratti & Milano soon became a coveted meeting place for the bourgeoisie and intellectuals, so much so that its success grew to the point of receiving the qualification of "Official supplier of the Royal House".

Both a creamy sherry or tawny port would pair nicely with the hazelnut forward flavor of the Giandiuotto. For those who prefer red wine try with a Rioja which also capitalizes on the milk chocolate and hazelnut of this fabulous chocolate.
Truly a phenomenal dessert, this classic cremino pairs well with a moscato d'asti if you prefer something sweeter or pairs well with a Petite Syrah if you would rather a hint of warm spice and toasty vanilla which brings out the nutty flavor of the cremino. A cup of black tea accompanies the cremino nicely as well in an afternoon rut where something sweet is needed!
